To develop the S-PHYRE RC903, Shimano carefully studied the pedalling dynamics and foot movements of top cyclists. This allowed them to create function-specific zones, with mesh and synthetic leather reinforced uppers playing a crucial role. These materials provide this road bike shoe with a maximised fit, stiffness, flexibility and breathability.
Optimised power transfer
Like the RC902, the Shimano S-PHYRE RC903 is equipped with a full carbon sole, which has a stiffness level of 12. To further optimise the power transfer to the pedals, a new heel cup with anti-twist stabilisation is used. This addition provides the foot with a perfect position in the shoe, allowing for maximum acceleration and cadence.
Superior fit
Finally, a superior fit was central to the development of the Shimano S-PHYRE RC903. The new 360° Surround Wrapping upper surrounds the foot, with a supportive cocoon from the top all the way around the outsole. As a result, cyclists experience excellent sturdiness and delightful comfort. Via the two BOA® Li2 dial closures, you can adjust this road bike shoe quickly and perfectly.

In order to help you, as best we can, to choose the right size shoe we have measured all the shoes ourselves. All that's left for you to do is measure your own foot length, and we'll tell you which shoe size per brand suits you best. Does your foot length in mm not appear on the relevant product's page? Then that particular shoe is not available in a size that suits your foot length.
You can easily measure your foot length using an A4 sheet of paper, placed on the floor against a wall. Stand with one foot on the piece of paper, with your heel against the wall. Draw a line above your big toe (or above the index toe if that is longer). Now mark your other foot on the paper in the same way. Measure both - the measurement of your longest foot is your foot length in mm's! Please note: some manufacturers have their own measuring system, and as a result what appears on the shoebox can deviate from what we have measured.

A lovely, well-fitting shoe
I haven’t had them for very long, but I’ve already been asked to write a review. I’ve got the black ones in the wide fit. I was torn about the white ones, but they were 40 euros more expensive at the time of purchase?? I also reckoned that the white mesh would be a bit of a nightmare to keep clean in the long run, so I went for black after all. These look rather smart too. The heel fits very comfortably and, together with the boa laces, you get a lovely snug-fitting shoe. There’s a slight pressure point on the wider part of the foot, but that’s already starting to ease after ~350 km. I don’t have excessively wide feet, but with the help of AI I went for the wide version anyway. I can’t say much about durability yet. I’m really happy with them at the moment.

The perfect shoes for narrow feet
I tried on loads of shoes, but they were all simply too wide. They might not be the right shoes for everyone, but I’d definitely recommend them to people with narrow feet. Before this, I had shoes with a Velcro fastening, but I can fasten these much more securely thanks to the BOA system. Overall, I’m very satisfied.

This wide version prevents painful outer edges of your foot when you wear your cycling shoes tightly. With the perfect fit and stiff shoe, you transfer power directly to the pedals without loss.

Great cycling shoes !
These belong very high in the rankings of cycling shoes, in the beginning did a few small rides to feel how they were going to be and they immediately felt tremendously good, even when they were well tightened, then a big ride of 240km and again no trouble anywhere on the feet, Once at km100 I had to accelerate the boas back about 1 turn because my feet swelled a bit and from then on I enjoyed these great Shimano shoes, be sure to measure your foot at the bottom, if it's max 8cm then go for the regular version, if it's more I think you should go for the wide version. Shoe has its price but you also get something for it. Thanks "Mantel" for the turbo fast service !
